Community Midwives

Alison Taylor from the Isis Midwife Team

The midwives work in the practice caring for women throughout their pregnancies together with the doctors.  They look after women during labour in the John Radcliffe Hospital or at home and in the early days after delivery.  If you have a history of problems in pregnancy or labour, care may be shared with the hospital team

The midwife holds a clinic at the surgery every Tuesday morning, and they can be contacted on 01865 221 696

Community Nurses

Clare Allen is our main District Nurse

The nurses provide care and support to housebound patients and carers in their own home.  They offer a broad nursing service specialising in areas of palliative care, wound care and management of continence

The daytime service is available between 08:00 and 16:00

Health Visitors

Our Health Visiting team receive training particularly related to babies, children and pregnant women. Their role is to provide families with children under five years old with support and advice around the general aspects of mental, physical and social wellbeing.
