Anyone who has concerns about a child's welfare can make a referral to Children's social care. Referrals can come from the child themselves, professionals such as teachers, the police, GPs and health visitors as well as family members and members of the public.

If you are concerned about a child's welfare or worried they are being abused and there is an immediate safeguarding concern, you can make a referral to the Multi Agency Safeguarding hub. The contact details are on the OSCB website along with the referral form:
